And, as is usually the case with compelling research, the practical applications and the teacher-researcher collaborations in turn prompt further questions about cognitive theory and its role in educational settings.

Hunt and Minstrell encourage students to start with their own ideas, and through careful observation and hard thinking, to see how those ideas can become more accurate and self-consistent.
