Don’t let it get too messy, but don’t have it so sterile that it’s not appealing. At the beginning of every week, reorganize your study space with your weekly learning goals in mind. The environment in which you study can have a big influence on how well you learn, how enthused you are about studying, and how effective each learning/study session will be. Pay attention to the spaces and areas within which you study. Plan to make your regular study location a place that you really want to be in.

Once you have changed your approach and once you take some responsibility for the levels of boredom that you feel, you’re immediately on course to make your learning life more interesting.
